BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SPECIALIST CERTIFICATION

Become certified to provide behavior support for your school district. This certification includes hands-on activities that allow you to demonstrate competencies in the area of Behavior Analysis and Support for the Classroom Setting. In addition, you will receive guidance and support for the entire school year from Dr. Titone. Dr. Titone created the program Rage to Reason: Behavior Intervention for Severe Disruptive Behavior in the Classroom Setting, which has shown remarkable results in the classroom setting by decreasing disruptive behavior and increasing cooperation and compliance.

The training is designed to build the capacity within each district to address the behavioral needs of all students, K-12. The program includes training and support throughout the entire school year for a team of professionals in the public-school setting. The training includes the highly effective program, Rage to Reason which has three levels of support to address all functions of behavior across all grade levels.

With supervision from a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) will be able to conduct a Functional Behavior Assessment, write behavior plans, collect and analyze data and train staff to implement plans with fidelity. Competency Assessment will be conducted for each specialist to ensure readiness to provide support.

Districts will have support from a Dr. Titone who is certified as a Behavior Analyst and specializes in working with the school setting. Dr. Titone can also provide support remotely throughout the school year for those who have completed the training. This is a cost-effective way for districts to provide the support needed for the behavioral needs of all students.

Training includes support for children with emotional disorders, autism, developmental disabilities, or those in the general education classroom. The training address intervention K-12 in all settings.

2025-2026 BIS Cohorts

The Behavior Intervention Certification Training will now be offered in a different format to accommodate more teachers with more flexibility for teams. For the 2025-26 School year, the BIS Training will be offered as a cohort that allows teams to complete the training across two months.  Each participant or team within the cohort will arrange their own schedule to meet 6 days to go through the training.  The full six-day course is now part of our Thinikific Platform and assignments are uploaded direce (just like a college course).  Dr Titone will grade assignments and give feedback.   In addition, each cohort will meet live on zoom at the end of each month at 1:00 CST for 2-3 hours to answer questions.  There will be a form to submit questions ahead of time for efficiency.
