Rage to Reason: Behavior Intervention for the Treatment of Disruptive and Explosive Behavior in the School Setting

This workshop teaches professionals how to reduce meltdowns and teach coping skills to children who exhibit disruptive and explosive behavior in the Classroom Setting. The workshop includes training in the implementation of Amy Buie’s Behavior Package, “Rage to Reason”. Rage to Reason is a step-by-step curriculum in the treatment of disruptive/explosive behavior due to refusals to follow directions, complete schoolwork, transition, and accept “no.” Participants will learn how to teach children to use coping skills and reduce aggression, property destruction, and other problem behaviors due to the refusal to follow directions and task demands. Implementation in both general education and special education classrooms will be included along with data collection and analysis. This is a four-day training and addressed interventions for across K-12. The training includes hands-on activities that will allow participants to demonstrate competencies in Behavior Analysis and Support for the Classroom Setting.
